PAST: Kaduna Youth Empowerment Camp

About This Event

This camp focused on providing vocational training to youth in Northern Nigeria during the previous year. We targeted skills in tailoring, carpentry, and basic computer literacy to provide immediate employment opportunities. The camp was hosted in a secure, conducive environment in Kaduna, allowing participants to focus entirely on their personal development. Experts from various trade unions volunteered their time to mentor the attendees, providing not just technical skills but also business management basics. Nigeria’s strength lies in its human capital, and projects like these are essential for reducing unemployment and fostering peace through economic engagement. Although this specific session is over, many of our graduates have gone on to open their own shops and businesses across the state. We reflect on the smiles and the hard work of the participants as a testament to the resilient spirit of the Nigerian youth. The legacy of the Kaduna Youth Empowerment Camp lives on in every small business started by its alumni, contributing to the local economy and community well-being.
